Awards & Commendations 
Over the years the Coastguards of Scarborough have taken part in many incidents & rescue's and on occasion some team members have been recognized by the Coastguard and external organizations for their part in these incidents & rescues. 4 members of the current team at Scarborough are the proud holders of  the Chief Coastguards Commendation for Meritorious Service, 2 members have received a letter of appreciation from the RNLI & 2 members received a Commendation from the North Yorkshire Police Force. We as a team are very proud of this recognition from our own service and others and feel it is a reflection on the dedication & commitment of the whole team in providing a professional search & rescue service in our local community.
